In Room Captions
In-room Captions in MediaScribe provide real-time, event-based captions displayed on a dedicated screen, ensuring accessibility and engagement during live meetings and events. Each display offers 4 customizable tabs: Basic Info, Language, Typography, and Branding.
Managing Displays
On the In-room Displays screen, you can:
Create a New Display: Click the "+ New Display" button to add a new preset.
Delete an Existing Display: Click the "Delete" button to remove a display.
Edit an Existing Display: Click the display name to modify its settings.
Copy the link to the Existing Display: Click the "Copy Link" button to share the link for the display.
View the Existing Display: Click the "View" button to view the existing display.
Display Tabs
Each display includes four tabs for configuring various settings, with a simulator on the screen that shows a live preview of how the display will look as you adjust the settings. Note that the caption text in the simulator does not reflect the actual captions; it uses dummy data solely for visual purposes.
Basic Info
Name: Enter a descriptive name for the display.
Subtitle: Set the subtitle that will appear in the footer of the display.
Languages
Language: Select the primary language for live captioning.
Typography
Padding: Adjust the spacing around the captions.
Bottom: Control the bottom padding.
Left: Adjust the left padding.
Right: Adjust the right padding.
Text Align: Choose the alignment for the caption text.
Options: Left, Center, Right
Font: Select the font family for the display.
Line Height: Adjust the space between lines of caption text.
Font Size: Set the size of the display text.
Branding
Logo: Upload a logo to appear in the top-left corner of the display.
Accent Color: Set the background color for the header and footer.
Font Color: Choose the font color for the header and footer.
The caption text will always be black, and the background will remain white.
